Yunnan Xiaguan Tuocha(Group) Co.,Ltd. has a history of productive tea over 60 years. It locates in Dali City where the largest tea distributions centre in western Yunnan and the centre of the Ancient Southwest Silk Road. The beautiful scenes, pleasant weather, the Cang Mountain and Erhai Lake proper natural environment and highly skilled tea production all these supplys unique condition the good quality of Xiaguan Tuocha Tea. The company has advanced equipments and large numbers of technicians and workers. Annual output can be over 6000 tons and profit tax is 10 millions RMB. It's listed as the biggest and the best tea production enterprise in Yunnan.
There are three kinds of mainly products. The "Songhe" brand Xiaguan Tuocha Tea produced in 1902 is wildly known, and from 1980s it won the State Silver Medal for three times. It is elected China Famous Brand. In 1997, it is certified China Green Foods and also for three times it won the World Food Golden Medal.
From 2002, the Company started import & export operation. It got an ISO9001 Certificate of Registration for Quality System in 2003. The "Songhe Brand" Xiaguan Tuocha Tea has owned the National Original Production Place registration in 2002.
The ‘Xiaguan Tuocha Tea’ (Grade A for Domestic Market) produced by Yunnan Xiaguan Tuocha(Group) Co., Ltd. (Yunnan Xiaguan Tea Factory), was developed for the first time at Xiaguan in 1902 with a registered brand called “Songhe”, which has a crane under a pine tree for trademark. The product is prepared with extra care by using leaves from the different tea mountains famous for the improved broad-leaf tea species and it belongs to the series of top grade compressed tea. The tea is of a bowl-shaped mass of leaves, regular in shape tightly-compressed, with shinny luster and strong scent. It’s liquor looks bright yellow, taste refreshing and sweet in aftertaste. The tea has an effect of purifying the mind, raising the spirit, nourishing looks, checking bacteria and curing sickness. By sticking to the norm and standard of GB9833-5-89, the product thrice won the Silver Award for State Excellent Quality in 1981, 1985 and 1990. In 1989 it was approved as a nationwide famous tea and was given the Title of the First Famous Tea Products by the state and province. The tea sells well in more than 20 provinces and autonomous regions, and partly sells abroad.
Gongting Puerh Tea, ‘Gongting Puerh Tea’ is a treasure of famous Puerh tea produced by Yunnan Xiaguan Tuocha(Group) Co., Ltd.(Yunnan Xiaguan Tea Factory). The tea is made of good-quality tea leaves from the ancient tea-area of Yunnan and prepared by means of traditional technology. The product is marked by compact and beautiful twist, strong and unique scent, bright and red liquor, fresh and sweet taste. It also has the function of refreshing brain, stimulating thinking, relieving internal heat, quenching thirst, aiding digestion, reducing weight if one keeps drinking it all the time. For all of this, people regard it as a tea treasure.
Yunnan Tuocha, also called puerh Tuo Tea, is developed and produced by the Xiaguan Tea Factory. The tea is prepared by using semi-prepared green tea of the Yunnan improved tea species from different areas as raw material which underwent a modern technological process. The product is different both from black tea and from green tea, it belongs to a kind of mild and neutral tea. The tea is marked by shape of a bowl, uniform compactness, dark-red luster, bright-red liquor,mellow mild taste and matured scent. According to the clinical experimental reports made by the hospitals at home and abroad the tea has an extraordinary efficacy of lessening blood fat, lowering cholesterol, reducing weight, improving looks and prolonging life. The product won the Title of Quality Product of the Yunnan Province both in 1980 and 1994, the Title given at ministerial level in 1987, the Gold Award for World's Food Excellence three times in 1986、1987 and 1993 and the Gold Award of European Food Excellence in 1996. The tea is exported mainly to the Western Europe, Hongkong, Macao, altogether more than 20 countries and regions.
